How do I delete my Steade account?
Go to Settings, tap Delete account and enter your password. Your profile disappears straight away, any introduction or conversation ends, and you’re logged out everywhere. Your profile, photos and messages are erased within 30 days, and backups expire within 90 days. Deleting your account can’t be undone.
Steps
- Go to Profile and tap the settings icon.
- Under Account, tap Delete account.
- Enter your password and tap Delete my account.
If you might want a copy of your data, download it first.
What happens
- Straight away: your profile is hidden from everyone, any open introduction or conversation ends, and the other person is told it ended. You’re logged out on every device, and notifications stop.
- Within 30 days: your profile, photos and messages are erased.
- Within 90 days: backups that contain your data expire.
What may be kept longer
If someone reported a conversation with you, the evidence attached to that report may be kept for up to 180 days with restricted access, and longer only if the law requires it.
Just need a break?
You can pause introductions instead. Your profile and preferences stay saved, and you can come back whenever you like.
