What happens to my NRIC or Singapore pass photo?
A moderator uses your document photo and selfie only to confirm your age, your sex and that you’re a real person. Both images are deleted as soon as the review is decided, and within 7 days at most. We never store your NRIC or Singapore pass number in readable form, and no other member ever sees your document.
What we keep
After the review, we keep only:
- how you were verified and when
- your date of birth (other members see only your age)
- your sex (used for matching, never shown)
- a one-way code made from your document number, so the same person can’t open two accounts
The code can’t be turned back into your number.
Who can see the images before they’re deleted
Only moderators assigned to check identities, and only to do that check. Every time someone opens your documents, it’s logged.
Where it’s kept
Steade stores your data on servers in Singapore, encrypted in transit.
