Who can see my profile and answers?

Only the person you’re introduced to sees your profile: your display name, age, what you’re looking for, your approved photos, your bio and the answers you made visible. There’s no feed or search, so no one can browse or look you up. Nobody sees your email, date of birth, contact details or identity documents.

What happens if I keep an answer private?

A private answer is never shown to anyone you’re introduced to and is never used as a reason for an introduction. The trade-off is that it can’t meet anyone else’s dealbreaker. So if you keep your religion private, you won’t be introduced to people who have made religion a dealbreaker. You can change this at any time.

What happens to my NRIC or Singapore pass photo?

A moderator uses your document photo and selfie only to confirm your age, your sex and that you’re a real person. Both images are deleted as soon as the review is decided, and within 7 days at most. We never store your NRIC or Singapore pass number in readable form, and no other member ever sees your document.

How do I download my data?

Accepted Answer

Go to Settings, find Your data under Account, and tap Download. Enter your password to confirm it’s you, and Steade downloads a file with everything it holds about you, including your profile, answers, preferences, introductions and the messages you sent. It’s free, and you can do it as often as you like.

Question 5

How do I delete my Steade account?

Accepted Answer

Go to Settings, tap Delete account and enter your password. Your profile disappears straight away, any introduction or conversation ends, and you’re logged out everywhere. Your profile, photos and messages are erased within 30 days, and backups expire within 90 days. Deleting your account can’t be undone.
