How do I pause introductions?
Tap Pause introductions at the bottom of Home, or go to Settings and tap Pause next to Introductions. You won’t be included in new rounds until you turn introductions back on. Your profile and preferences stay saved, and an introduction or conversation you already have carries on as normal.
Pause
- From Home: tap Pause introductions under your next round.
- From Settings: go to Profile, tap the settings icon, then tap Pause next to Getting introductions.
Resume
- From Home: tap Resume introductions.
- From Settings: tap Resume next to Introductions paused.
You’re back in from the next round.
When Steade pauses you
We also pause your introductions in two cases:
- You missed an introduction. If an introduction closes before you decide, we pause you so no one else waits on an answer. Home asks Ready to meet someone? Tap I’m ready to start again.
- You’ve met someone. If you end a conversation and choose We’re seeing each other, we pause your introductions so you can focus on each other.
Pause or delete?
Pausing keeps everything as it is. Deleting your account removes your profile and can’t be undone.
