Why didn’t I get an introduction this round?
Usually it’s because no one in that round fitted what you’re looking for while you also fitted what they’re looking for. It can also happen when you’re paused, your identity check or photos are still in review, or you’re already talking to someone. An empty round isn’t a judgement about you.
Reasons that depend on the round
- No one fitted both ways. Everyone you could be introduced to must meet your dealbreakers, and you must meet theirs.
- Your best fits were better matched elsewhere. Each round looks at everyone together. Someone who fits you may fit another person even better, and that person them.
- The pool is still growing. Introductions start only when there are enough members for good ones, and some rounds will still be quiet.
Reasons you can check
- Introductions haven’t started yet. Home shows Starting soon until they do.
- You’re paused. Home shows You’re paused. Tap Resume introductions.
- You missed your last introduction. If an introduction closes before you decide, we pause your introductions until you tap I’m ready on Home.
- Your identity check or photos are in review. You need an approved identity check and at least 2 approved photos.
- You’re in a conversation. You won’t get new introductions until it ends.
- You haven’t opened Steade lately. Rounds include members who’ve opened Steade in the last 14 days.
- Your account is on hold while a moderator reviews it.
If it keeps happening
After three rounds with no introduction, Home suggests reviewing your preferences. Dealbreakers and a narrow age range are the most common causes. The preferences screen shows how often you’d likely be introduced with your current settings. Changing them may help, but it can’t guarantee an introduction.
