What do Steade’s moderators do?
Steade’s moderators check identity documents and photos before profiles go live, review every report, and act when someone breaks the community rules. They can warn a member, put an account on hold while they look into it, or close it. They see private information only when their work needs it, and every access is logged.
What they do
- Identity checks: A moderator compares the document photo with the selfie and confirms the date of birth and sex, usually within 2 working days.
- Photo checks: Every photo is checked before anyone sees it.
- Reports: Moderators review every report and the evidence saved with it.
- Messages about money: Messages that mention money transfers, crypto, investments or gift cards are flagged for a moderator to check.
- Appeals: If a member appeals a decision, a moderator reviews it.
How fast
We acknowledge every report within 24 hours. Urgent reports, such as someone who may be under 18 or a member who feels unsafe, are reviewed within 4 hours during support hours.
What they can do
Depending on what happened, a moderator may:
- warn the member
- put the account on hold while they review it
- close the account
A new account is placed on hold after a single report until a moderator has looked at it. If we act on your account, we tell you why and how to appeal.
What they can see
Moderators can open identity documents and reported conversations only to do their job, and every access is logged. Apart from reports and flagged messages, they don’t read conversations.
