How do I report someone?
Open the introduction or conversation, tap the menu at the top, then tap Report. Choose what happened, add details if you like, and send. Reports are private: the person won’t know who reported them. A moderator reviews every report, and we acknowledge each one within 24 hours.
If you’re in danger
Steade isn’t an emergency service. Call 999 for the police or 995 for an ambulance.
Steps
- Open the introduction or conversation.
- Tap the menu (three dots) at the top right.
- Tap Report and choose what happened:
- Harassment or threats
- Asking for money or a scam
- Sexual or explicit content
- Fake profile or pretending to be someone
- May be under 18
- I feel unsafe
- Something else
- Add anything else we should know (optional).
- Leave Also block ticked to end the introduction or conversation now, or untick it.
- Tap Send report.
What happens next
- We save the evidence. Their profile and your conversation are saved with the report at the moment you send it.
- A moderator reviews it. We acknowledge every report within 24 hours. Reports of someone who may be under 18, or of feeling unsafe, are treated as urgent and reviewed within 4 hours during support hours.
- New accounts go on hold. If the person’s account is in its first 14 days, one report puts it on hold until a moderator has looked at it.
If we act on someone’s account, we tell them why and how to appeal.
