How do I end a conversation?
Open the conversation, tap the menu at the top, then tap End conversation. It closes for both of you straight away, and the other person is told it has ended. You can still read the messages, but neither of you can send new ones. You’re back in the next round for introductions.
Steps
- Open the conversation.
- Tap the menu (three dots) at the top right.
- Tap End conversation.
- Optionally, tell us how it went. Only Steade sees this.
- Tap End conversation to confirm.
What happens next
- The conversation closes for both of you. The other person gets a notification that it has ended.
- You won’t be introduced to each other again for 90 days.
- You’ll keep getting introductions from the next round.
If you’re seeing each other
If you choose We’re seeing each other when you end the conversation, we pause your introductions so you can focus on each other. You can turn them back on in Settings whenever you like.
If something went wrong
Ending a conversation is enough when it has simply run its course. If someone made you uncomfortable or broke the community rules, report or block them instead. Both options are in the same menu. Blocking ends the conversation, and so does a report if you leave Also block ticked.
