How do I sign up for Steade?
Sign-up takes about 10 minutes. You create an account with your email and a password, confirm your email address, then check your identity. After that you add a short profile, a few answers, two to six photos and your preferences.
When introductions start
Sign-up is open now. Introductions start once most members have at least five people who fit them both ways. Until then, your profile and preferences are saved, and we’ll tell you when your first introduction arrives.
Create your account
- Tap Create your account on steade.app.
- Enter your email and a password of at least 10 characters.
- Confirm you’re 18 or over and agree to the terms of service, community rules and privacy notice.
- Open the link we email you to confirm your address. The link works for 24 hours.
Set up your profile
Steade then walks you through six short steps. Your progress is saved as you go.
- Confirm it’s you. Upload a photo of your NRIC or Singapore pass and take a selfie.
- About you: Your first name or the name you go by, what you’re looking for, and a few lines about yourself (up to 500 characters).
- A bit more about you: Questions such as whether you want children, whether you smoke or drink, and how active you are. Four are required; the rest are optional, and you can keep sensitive answers private.
- Your photos: Add two to six recent photos where your face is clear. A moderator checks each one before anyone sees it.
- Who you’d like to meet: Set your age range, choose your preferences, and decide whether any should be dealbreakers.
- Check how you’ll appear. Review your profile as others will see it, then tap Finish setup.
You can change everything later from your profile.
