Terms of service

Last updated 26 October 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Huper Technology Pte Ltd, the Singapore company that runs Steade (“we”, “us”). By creating an account you accept them, together with our community rules, which form part of these terms. Our privacy notice explains how we handle your personal data.

Who can use Steade

To have an account, you must:

  • be 18 or over;
  • live in Singapore;
  • not be legally married (single, divorced or widowed);
  • be looking for a committed, long-term relationship;
  • have only one Steade account, and not have had an account closed by us for breaking these terms;
  • pass our identity check before your profile goes live.

Steade introduces men to women. Your sex comes from your identity check and is used for matching only.

Your account

  • Give true information about yourself, and keep it up to date.
  • Keep your password to yourself. You’re responsible for what happens on your account.
  • Tell us straight away at hello@steade.app if you think someone else has used it.

What Steade does, and what it can’t promise

Steade runs matching rounds and introduces you to at most one person at a time, based on what you and they told us. If you both accept, you can chat. Steade is free: there is no membership fee and nothing to pay for inside the app. We won’t charge you for anything without asking you first.

We can’t promise that:

  • you’ll get an introduction in any round, or at all, since that depends on who else has joined;
  • you’ll like the people you’re introduced to, or that a relationship will follow;
  • Steade will always be available without interruption or errors.

Steade is in its pilot, so features, round times and settings may change. We’ll tell you about changes that affect how you use it.

Meeting people

Our identity check confirms that a member is a real adult with one account. It doesn’t check criminal records, marital status or intentions, and we don’t vouch for anything members say about themselves. You decide whether to keep talking to someone and whether to meet them. Please follow the safety advice in the community rules, and report anyone who breaks them.

Your content

Your photos, profile and messages stay yours. You give us permission to store them, check them, and show them to the people you’re introduced to or chatting with, only to run Steade. This permission ends when your content is deleted, as described in the privacy notice.

Only post content you have the right to share. Don’t post photos of other people, or anything that breaks the community rules. We may remove content that does.

What you mustn’t do

As well as following the community rules, you mustn’t:

  • use Steade for any business, advertising, recruiting or fundraising purpose;
  • copy, collect or scrape other members’ information, by hand or by automated means;
  • share another member’s photos, profile or messages outside Steade without their permission;
  • try to get around a block, an account hold, or the limits on links and phone numbers in chat;
  • interfere with Steade’s security, or try to reach parts of it you aren’t meant to;
  • use Steade for anything against Singapore law.

Account holds and closure

If we receive a report or have reason to think you’ve broken these terms, we may warn you, put your account on hold while we look into it, remove content, or close your account. We tell you why and how to appeal, and each decision can be appealed once. We may act without warning when someone’s safety is at risk, and we may share information with the police where the law requires or allows it.

Leaving Steade

You can pause introductions or delete your account at any time in Settings. What happens to your data when you delete it is set out in the privacy notice. If we decide to stop running Steade, we will give you at least 30 days’ notice by email, so you can download your data first.

Liability

Steade is a free service, provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for:

  • what other members say or do, on Steade or when you meet;
  • loss of data, profit, opportunity or time;
  • indirect or consequential loss.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can’t be limited under Singapore law.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we’ll email you at least 14 days before the change takes effect. If you don’t agree, you can delete your account before then. The date at the top shows when they last changed.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, and the courts of Singapore have jurisdiction over any dispute. If any part of them can’t be enforced, the rest still applies.
