Who can join Steade?
Steade is for single men and women aged 18 and over who live in Singapore and want a committed, long-term relationship. Every member’s identity is checked with an NRIC or Singapore pass and a selfie before their profile goes live. Steade introduces men to women, and uses English during the pilot.
Who Steade is for
- Aged 18 or over: We check your date of birth during the identity check.
- Not legally married: Single, divorced or widowed. You confirm this before you set up your profile.
- Living in Singapore: Introductions are between people in Singapore.
- Looking for something lasting: When you sign up, you choose between “A long-term relationship” and “Open to long-term”.
- Willing to confirm your identity: No one can be introduced to anyone until their identity has been checked.
If you’re separated
If you’re separated, or your divorce has started but isn’t final, you’re still legally married, so you can’t join yet. In Singapore a marriage ends when the Final Judgment is made. You’re welcome to join once it has been.
Men and women
Steade introduces men to women only. We say this before you sign up, so you know before you share anything. Your sex comes from your identity document. It’s used for matching and is never shown on your profile.
Who Steade isn’t for
Steade isn’t built for casual dating or browsing, and it doesn’t offer same-sex introductions. It’s also not the right place if you’d like to meet someone today: introductions arrive twice a week, one at a time.
