Coffee Meets Bagel sends a daily batch of about 20 curated profiles and offers Singpass verification in Singapore. Steade sends at most one introduction twice a week, with up to three reasons, and every member must verify. Steade is free with no paid tier; Coffee Meets Bagel sells Premium and Beans.

The main difference
Coffee Meets Bagel already limits how many people you see: a curated batch of about 20 each day, rather than an endless feed. You still choose from that batch, and chats have a seven-day limit. In Singapore, members can verify with Singpass for a badge and filter to verified profiles.
Steade goes further in the same direction. There is no batch to choose from: each round, you get at most one person who meets your dealbreakers and whose dealbreakers you meet. Everyone has verified before they can be introduced, and nothing is paid.

Questions
Does Coffee Meets Bagel use Singpass?
Yes. The Straits Times reported in July 2025 that Coffee Meets Bagel lets Singapore users verify through Singpass for a verified badge, and that verified users can filter out unverified profiles.
Is identity checking optional on Steade?
No. Every member verifies before they have a profile, with Singpass or with an NRIC or Singapore pass and a selfie reviewed by a moderator. Verification confirms identity, not intentions, so report and block are always there too.
How many people will Steade introduce me to?
At most one per round, and rounds run on Tuesday and Friday at 8 pm. Some rounds may have no one who fits what you both want. When that happens, we tell you.
Is Steade free?
Yes. There is no paid tier, no in-app currency and nothing to unlock, and none is planned.
When does Steade open?
Sign-up is open now. Introductions start once most members have at least five people who fit them both ways. Until then your profile and preferences are saved, and we’ll tell you when your first introduction arrives.
